Reach Higher Reconnect
Description
Reach Higher is an adult degree completion initiative led by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Reach Higher holds adult friendly, one-stop enrollment events through Reach Higher RECONNECT. All Reach Higher institutions have trained student success advisers to help adult students navigate higher education and access resources that can help them complete their degrees.
This year we'll have inflatables, food trucks. photobooths, and giveaways for you and your family to enjoy during the event!
Questions & Answers
Reach Higher is an adult degree completion initiative led by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. Through the Reach Higher program, adults students can complete degrees in enterprise development, organizational leadership, and other programs connected with Oklahoma's 100 Critical Occupations list.
Reach Higher holds adult friendly, one-stop enrollment events through Reach Higher RECONNECT. All Reach Higher institutions have trained student success advisers to help adult students navigate higher education and access resources that can help them complete their degrees. The program also connects students with assistance resources both at the institution and within their community.
SSC participates in both the Reach Higher FlexFinish and the Direct Complete programs. (See the difference between these in our FAQs)
Direct Complete is designed to help adults who have earned some college credit complete a degree linked to a critical occupation. FlexFinish associate degree program provides flexible options for adults with some college credit to complete their degrees. Students can earn a college degree while balancing family, work and financial obligations.
Direct Complete
- 2.0 GPA
- Within 15 hours of completing an associates degree
- Has completed any remedial coursework
Flex Finish
- Has completed minimum 18 credit hours
- Minimum 2.0 GPA
- Completed all remedial course work
Yes! We encourage all students to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.studentaid.gov. The Reach Higher program also offers the Finish Line Scholarship to those who qualify. You can get more information and apply for this scholarship online at www.reachhigherok.org/finishlineok/. SSC offers scholarships and information for Paying for College that you can see on our website here.
We also encourage students to apply for as many outside scholarships as possible.
The Reach Higher RECONNECT event will be held in front of (east) SSC's Tanner Hall (Building #18 on our Campus Map) located on the Northeast side of campus right off of Boren Blvd (Hwy 3E/270). For detailed instructions, check out our FAQs!
The Online Degree Office is located on the east most side of the building. Once you have arrived, you will enter the building through the door to the right of the flagpole, then make an immediate left into the hallway. There will be signs and workers to guide you.
Tanner Hall (Building #18 on our Campus Map) is located on the northeast side of campus along Boren Blvd (Highway 3E/270), and parking is located in the front of the building.
Nope! But it would be helpful if you submitted your Admission Application and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) prior to attending to save you time. Otherwise we are willing to help with these.

- FAFSA: Go to www.studentaid.gov to sign up.
For Enrollment:
- High school/college transcripts (if applicable)
- ACT/SAT/other standardized test scores (if applicable and no older than 5 years)
- Photo ID
- Bank Deposit and Routing Number (for financial aid purposes only)
For Financial Aid:
- If you have not yet completed the FAFSA, please bring your personal info such as your SSN, copies of your tax returns, W2's, and/or other financial documents from the year 2021, as well as that of your parents (dependents) or spouse (independents, if applicable)
- Official documentation of high school/GED completion (transcript, diploma, etc.)
- Official collegiate transcripts (if applicable)
